From the freezing conditions of the Russian Front to the blistering heat of the North African deserts the Kubelwagen proved to be the perfect off-road vehicle and coped equally well with mud or sand. The military version of the KDF Wagen was one of the most successful vehicles used by the Wehrmacht. Quite a few seem to have survived - just watch any Second World War movie!
