Just look at those fins! Unlike the original Johan promotional models which are prone to warping, the X-L models used a more stable plastic, and there is no sign of deterioration - these reproductions are themselves now nearly 20 years old. 

A word of caution - if you have such models and are not displaying them, be ultra careful as to how they are stored - avoid damp conditions, since the chrome plating can dull and eventually peel off.
